Vol. 15 Contributor Spotlight: Nhung An

Meet Nhung An! Nhung’s poem, “Between me and my mother,” will be featured in our upcoming issue, Vol. 15!

How Nhung describes “Decomposition” in 12 words or less:
“To her mother, an island she once knew.”

Nhung An is a writer, poet, and hopefully, a rising star at her day job. She moved to the US from Vietnam as a teenager before moving to Canada after graduating college. Although she is proud of the footprints she has left as a nomad, she feels the weight of the distance between her and her family. Her writing often paints a portrait of her mother and the complex relationship between the two of them. She has been published in Jellyfish Review, Lunch Ticket, Sinister Wisdom, and other literary magazines and anthologies.
