Meet Katherine Barbour! Katherine’s poem, “She asks me how I’m doing,” will be featured in our upcoming issue, Vol. 15!

How Katherine describes “She asks me how I’m doing” in 12 words or less:
“Kindred spirits and trash eaters, my window becomes my mirror.”

Katherine Barbour was born and raised in New Brunswick and currently resides in London, Ontario. She is in her fourth year at Western University, completing an Honours Specialization in Creative Writing and English Literature. She has been published in Contemporary Verse 2, various university publications, and was the 2023 winner of the Alfred Poynt Award in Poetry. Katherine is currently working on her debut poetry collection, which explores themes of imposter syndrome, sexuality and nostalgia.
