This week six years ago, on August 20, 2014, we launched the very first issue of untethered! We were so little (just look at those pictures!) and had no idea what would come of our little post-graduation passion project. I’m so proud of our little mag and how far we’ve come!! We have lots of big changes up our sleeves for this year.

Over the next few months untethered wants to expand our team to include a more diverse editorial board, pay our contributors more competitive honorariums, and make affordable yearly subscriptions available to all!

But we need your help!!

For these past six years, untethered has funded itself through the generous donations by our amazing community and issue sales at our launches and on our website. We don’t receive any government grants or funding. untethered wouldn’t be possible without our devote readers and donors!
